SOUTH BEND PUBLIC SCHOOLS
A COMMUNITY CONCERN!
 
 On November 6, three members of the South Bend Community School Corporation Board of Trustees will be elected by registered voters who live in School Districts 1, 2 and 5. Not all families in South Bend include children who attend schools in the South Bend Community School Corporation. But ALL residents of South Bend should be concerned about public education in South Bend!
 
The Community Forum for Economic Justice
is hosting a public meeting
        Saturday, October 20, 2018, from 10:00am – 12:00pm
        Teamsters 364 Hall, 2405 Edison Rd. South Bend
 
Presentations by,
Tom Johnson, Indiana State Teachers Assoc., Uniserv Director     
Don Wheeler, Michiana Advocates for Education
Regina Williams- Preston, SB Teacher, SB Common Council, Community Forum for Economic Justice
 
Followed by an open discussion, moderated by
Trina Robinson, past Education Chair of the SB NAACP
 
Discussion will address both the challenges faced by the School Corporation AND possible solutions to overcome those challenges. A central focus will be reasons why a strong public education system is critical to the common good, because a quality education for all children is an essential component for a healthy and thriving community.
 
Educators, Parents & Students, Public officials, School Board members & Candidates… ALL residents of South Bend are warmly invited to attend.  What’s good for our children is good for all of us!
